PSEO

Postsecondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) is a program that allows 10th-, 11th- and 12th-grade students to earn college credit tuition free while still in high school.

PSEO Eligibility

Minnesota high school juniors and seniors may be eligible to take one or more college level courses through CIS/PSEO if they meet the following requirements:

  • Senior 12th grade: High school cumulative GPA of 2.5 or greater
  • Junior 11th grade: High school cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater

Minnesota high school sophomores/10th grade need to complete the 8th grade Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment (MCA) reading test and meet the proficiency of “meets or exceeds.” Sophomores who qualify for PSEO may enroll in one career and technical education course. If a 10th grader taking a CTE PSEO course earns at least a grade of C in that class, they may take additional postsecondary classes.
