About The Teacher

I'm glad to be back at Northland!  I'm a Bemidji State University graduate in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood emphasis.  I continued with my education and became certified to teach Specific Learning Disabilities, Emotional Behavioral Disabilities, and Teacher-Coordinator of Work Based Learning Programs.  I began my teaching career in the Head Start program, working with children and families in 1994.  Next, I worked for the Greenway School District, teaching children with Specific Learning Disabilities and Emotional Behavioral Disabilities. I also worked as Teacher/Coordinator of Work Based Learning in my final year there.  I started with the Northland Remer district at the Alternative Learning Center, then was fortunate to follow Mary Ann Toothman when she retired.  Throughout my educational career, I have worked with children pre-K to grade 12.

I really enjoy working with your children and being a teacher at Northland!  I always want parents of my students to know they can contact me at any time with any questions or concerns they have.  We are a team and I value the knowledge and insights you have about your children.  They're pretty special to me!
