Superintendent Mark Morrison

Superintendent Morrison

I’m excited to join Northland Community Schools as your new superintendent! Originally from Cambridge, my family and I have called this area home since 2000. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in several area schools with the last 12 years at Chisholm. I’m looking forward to meeting students, families, staff, and community members, and learning more about what makes Northland such a special place. My goal is to listen, learn, and work together to make sure our schools are a place where every student feels supported and has the opportunity to succeed.

About Our District

Northland Community Schools is located in beautiful north central Minnesota.

We serve over 350 students in the communities of Outing, Remer, Longville, Boy River and Federal Dam and surrounding areas. Students have access to a wide variety of academic programs and extra-curricular activities and class sizes are small. Northland also has a wonderful Native American education program. Northland is a PBIS district (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports). We are the Northland Eagles and we encourage and celebrate "Eagle Pride, Schoolwide." The mission of Northland Community Schools is to educate and inspire all learners to reach their full potential. This will be achieved by creating unified relationships between family, community and school as the district provides rigorous, relevant and engaging curriculum to help all students achieve their potential, become productive community members, and value lifelong learning.
